1

Open the Web Browser

On your Samsung TV remote, press the Home button. Navigate to the Internet app (Samsung's built-in web browser) and open it.

Tip: If you don't see the Internet app on the home bar, go to Apps and search for "Internet". It comes pre-installed on all Tizen TVs.
2

Navigate to the Player URL

In the browser address bar, type:

https://ads.anettv.org/api/device/web-player

The player will automatically generate a unique device ID and register itself with the server. A 6-digit pairing code will appear on screen.

Go to your AdCast panel on a computer or phone:

  1. Navigate to Devices → Pair Device
  2. Enter the 6-digit code shown on the TV screen

Advanced: Install as Tizen Web App

For a more permanent kiosk-like setup on newer Samsung TVs, you can deploy the AdCast web player as a Tizen web application using Samsung's developer tools.

1.

Install Tizen Studio on your computer

2.

Enable Developer Mode on your Samsung TV: go to Apps, type 12345 on the remote, toggle Developer Mode on, and enter your computer's IP address

3.

Create a new Tizen Web Application project in Tizen Studio, set the start URL to https://ads.anettv.org/api/device/web-player

4.

Connect to your TV via Device Manager and install the app. It will launch fullscreen without browser chrome.

Note: The Tizen web app method requires some developer experience. For most users, the browser method above is the simplest approach.

Limitations & Recommendations

No kiosk lock

Anyone with the remote can exit the browser. There is no way to lock the TV into the player app.

Browser may time out

Samsung's browser can sleep or close after a period of inactivity. You may need to re-open it periodically.

No offline playback

The browser-based player streams content from the server. If the internet drops, playback stops.

Not recommended for 24/7 unattended use

For permanent signage installations, we recommend an Android TV box or Raspberry Pi.
